How the $0.07 I Earned from Medium Earnings is Motivating Me

When I received the email that I earned $0.07 yesterday I was a little shocked. So far, I’ve published a measily 8 stories on Medium (including 1 haiku, check it out when you can).

I applied for the Medium partnership program 20 days ago once I reached 100 followers and I was grateful to be accepted. But I wasn’t expecting any earnings until I put in a bit more work.

I’d first like to say thank you to all the feedback and followers I’ve received so far! I really appreciate it!

There’s more to come. I promise!

I write all that to say, it was the occasion of receiving money for writing, not the amount, that began and continues to motivate me.

How this is Motivating

It motivates me to know that there is the potential for more based on my efforts.

It motivates me to know that there is a place where sharing my thoughts and experiences through writing is applauded (no pun intended).
