Productivity expert Tiago Forte has written an amazing book titled “Building a Second Brain.”

In the book, he introduces you to a system he created that will revolutionize the way you take notes, store information, and generate new ideas.

I judge books based on how quickly I finish them (no surprise there), and how sticky the information is. Sticky meaning how much of the information can I remember.

It only took me a day and a half to finish it (I could barely put it down!). And I can still recall about 80% of the main points in the book. Which is good.

What follows are a few things you’ll learn while reading it.

You NEED a System for Collecting Your Ideas

Studies have shown that the average person has over 6,000 thoughts per day.

And among those 6,000 ideas there’s bound to be cluster of them that could change the world! But unless you capture your ideas by writing them down and placing them somewhere secure, you’re almost certain to forget some good ones.

Remember the number 4.

The ordinary person forgets 4 things per day. That’s potentially 1,460 good ideas per year gone!
